Tyrrell's Single Vineyard Old Hut Shiraz
The Old Hut Vineyard was planted in 2002 using vine cuttings from the 4 Acres Vineyard, situated right next door. It features the same deep red clay soils over limestone, ideal for growing super-premium Hunter Valley Shiraz. Dense, darker purple. A complex, savoury nose showing darker fruits and forest floor characters. The palate is approachable and shows a good combination of riper fruits and elegant tannins. Softer acid profile than the other wines on release, rounder in shape.
