A classic St Hugo from an excellent Coonawarra vintage. Deep ruby in colour, it opens with complex choc mint, green herbs and cedar with fairly prominent but balanced oak in the background. It’s then beautifully framed and poised on the palate with concentrated but also reserved fruits supported by plenty of tannins with a little twist of sour cherry to finish. Ready to be enjoyed after careful cellaring.
