Named in honour of Brother John May, who completed 50 vintages at Sevenhill Cellars. A very limited release of small bottlings of wine suited to long-term cellaring and only made from exceptional vintages. Deep red in colour. Aromas of biscuit and spice, opening slowly to reveal blackberry and dark plums, iodine with hints of mint and eucalyptus. Fine textural tannins flow through the palate. The fruit is tightly bound, gradually revealing itself. The finish is long and persistent. The balance and youthfulness of the wine suggest a long future for those with patience.
