Rich, ripe, lifted, and alluring nose. This wine shows aromas of stewed blood plums, with hints of smoke, mocha, and wafts of black pepper. The palate is full, rounded, soft, and elegant. The upfront fruit flavours are of overtly ripe raspberry, boysenberry, and blackcurrant. The mid palate is complex with layers of spice including Chinese five spice and hickory. The back palate is long, soft, elegant, and dry.
