An enticing mix of citrus fruit and bakery aromas appear from first whiff. Aromas of freshly baked croissants spread with warm French butter and topped with a thin layer of preserved lemon/lime marmalade captivate. There is clear vinous appeal with classic citrus chardonnay flavours, combined with extended lees ageing notes of brioche and bready qualities at the fore. A bright and fresh entry of grapefruit flavours on the palate is accompanied by creamy notes and citrus pith. Green and red apple tarte tatin springs to mind as the impeccably balanced frame of acidity and texture carries the wine to great lengths.
