Nugan Estate sources the grapes for the Frasca's Lane Chardonnay from Victoria's cool-climate wine region, the King Valley.  As soon as the winemaking team pick the grapes, they gently press them. The fruit for this wine will be harvested in March. The grapes will then endure a long, cool fermentation in stainless steel vats & French oak barrels. The wine is left to mature in French oak for 12 months, during which the team performs monthly batonnage.  They do this to add complexity and enhance the integration of fruit and oak, before final blending and bottling.
