Luigi Vico's wines come from his family-heirloom vineyard in Serralunga. With his ancestors having farmed the site, providing fruit for other estates since the early 1900s, Luigi decided to return to making wines under the Vico name. Assisted by famed neighbour, Davide Rosso, these wines are classic, yet precise and approachable. Strawberries and almonds, a little dusting of spice and aniseed. Medium-bodied, mainly red fruits, and spicy ones and that, with gentle dusty/peppery tannin, a pleasing sense of freshness, a slight autumnal/mushroom earthy bass, and a bright finish laced with aniseed and red fruited spice.
