Kara-Tara Pinot Noir
The Overberg vineyards bring a classic and elegant strawberry-fruit profile, while the vineyards in Elgin add structure and depth. The Durbanville vineyards give the final wine an alluring perfume. Approximately 20% of the wine was whole-bunch fermented. French oak was used for barrel maturation, primarily neutral oak, but with about 10% new oak. This is a modern style on a classic variety. It displays an uplifting profile of bright red fruit, warm spice and supple tannins.
