The estate vineyard of sustainably farmed low-yielding vines produces wines of character and charm; with a unique edge imparted from the rugged quartz and granite soils. The significant areas of native vegetation in the vineyard are integral to the rich biodiversity of Heggies; contributing to the personality of the wines. The oldest vines on the estate are planted in wide-spaced contoured rows, which encourage the quixotic complexities of the wine. The Riesling vines are carefully nurtured, and the hand-selected grapes are picked at optimum flavour, showing a lively and delicate wine with delicious mineral overtones and promising a lifetime of classic evolution.
