Greenock Creek Moppa Vineyard Shiraz
The site features sparse topsoil intersected by clumps of ironstone and quartz. Dry-grown, the vineyard produces an extremely low yield of small, berry-like, thick-skinned fruit, typically measured in kilograms rather than tonnes per acre. The nose is beautifully perfumed with notes of cherry and currant. The site's character adds a distinctive blend of flint and mineral notes, along with a kitchen spice line, through the finely structured palate of intense black fruits wrapped around elegant, long lines of tannin. Approximately 1,000 bottles made. Drink now to 2040.
Product of Barossa Valley, South Australia.
