The vines were planted by the creek in the 1960s on sandy brown loam with grey clay. The combination of loam and grey clay provides the wine with immense density of fruit flavour and velvety, mouth-filling tannins. The fruit profile tends towards mulberries and blueberries with some clay-influenced anise and milk chocolate undertones.
