This wine is made entirely from grapes grown on the Dexter family vineyards, located on the Mornington Peninsula. The first vines were planted in 1987 and are now producing exceptional fruit, as expected from a mature vineyard. This, combined with Tod Dexter's 36 years of winemaking experience, enables Dexter Mornington Peninsula to produce world class wine. Production will always be limited, to allow high attention to detail. The Pinot Noir has aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, bay leaf and thyme with subtle floral fragrance and hints of oak. Complex flavours are reflected by the aromas. It has a soft entry with mid palate fruit sweetness and lovely texture. Fine tannins and balanced acidity result in a wine with good texture and length.
