Showing excellent depth of colour this wine possesses a deep dark red black tinged core with a dark crimson hue. Fragrant aromas of dark cherries, violets and subtle anise are followed by some meaty characters, toasty cedar and spice. Rich and quite full in the body the palate features ripe dark cherry and dark plum flavours intermixed with some anise over a backdrop of spicy lightly toasted cedar. Very fine-grained tannins. Good power wave with an aftertaste of dark ripe cherries, dark plums, some anise and spicy toasted cedar.
