Savigny-les-Beaune is a village appellation of the Cote de Beaune made from100% pinot noir.  A bouquet apt to feature small black and red fruits, the body is full, slightly tannic, and over time some roundness and volume balances the power in even proportions. It will accompany tasty and juicy cuts of beef, but should also be delectable with lacquered or caramelized poultry – like Peking duck.
