Violets, licorice, and dark berry fruit follow through onto the mid-palate, with notes of black pepper, cloves, black cardamom, and star anise. The wine is balanced and focused, elegant yet complex with smooth, velvety tannins. The spicy, grippy finish lingers with hints of cocoa, black olives, and violets.
