Petaluma Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay
The Piccadilly Valley is the coolest viticultural region in South Australia. This wine is fermented in 30% new French oak barriques where it was matured on yeast lees for 8 months. This has led to the complex aromas and flavours displayed in this wine. This Chardonnay is pale gold with complex aromas of stone fruits and citrus zest along with subtle flintiness on the bouquet. The palate displays more stone fruit characteristics which are complemented by subtle oak spice and a fine, creamy texture from both times spent on lees and partial malolactic fermentation. The wine has a great ability to develop beautiful complexity with age.
